Our Story

We started Rove Kids with a simple reason: we were parents looking for the same things many other parents are looking for — understanding, support, and the right resources for our child.

We are parents to an autistic child, and like many families, our journey did not come with a clear roadmap.

When we first noticed that our child was developing differently, we had many questions and very few answers. We sought professional guidance, explored different therapies, learned about autism, and slowly began to understand that every child has their own way of learning, communicating, playing, and experiencing the world.

But understanding was only the beginning.

We soon discovered another challenge that many parents face — finding the right resources.

Finding sensory products, therapy materials, educational tools, and everyday resources that were suitable for our child was not always easy. Sometimes the products we needed were difficult to find. Sometimes we did not know what would actually be useful. And sometimes, getting the right resources meant searching far beyond home.

As parents, we experienced the frustration, uncertainty, and countless small decisions that come with trying to find what works for your child.

We also experienced the joy that comes with finding something that does work.

A simple sensory tool that helps a child feel calmer.
An activity that keeps them engaged.
A learning resource that makes something easier to understand.
A product that turns a difficult moment into a manageable one.

Those small things can mean so much to a family.

Our own journey eventually led us to discover a much wider world of sensory and developmental resources. We saw how many thoughtfully designed products were available to support children with autism and other developmental needs — products that could support regulation, sensory exploration, communication, learning, movement, and everyday life.

And we kept thinking:

Why shouldn’t families here have easier access to these resources too?

That question became the beginning of Rove Kids.

What started from our desire to find better resources for our own child gradually grew into a desire to make those resources easier for other families to find.

Today, Rove Kids is more than a place to find sensory products.

It is something we built from our experience as parents.

We understand that every child is different. What works beautifully for one child may not work for another. We understand that parents often spend hours researching, asking questions, trying different things, and simply hoping to find something that makes their child’s day a little easier.

And we understand that sometimes, you just want someone to say, “I understand.”

That is the spirit behind Rove Kids.

We want to make it easier for parents, therapists, educators, and caregivers to discover resources that can support children in meaningful ways — whether that means helping them stay calm, explore their senses, develop new skills, communicate, learn, or simply enjoy being a child.

We are still learning too.

Our journey as parents continues every day, and so does our journey with Rove Kids.

Because this was never just about starting a business.

It began with a child, a family, and a parent’s hope to make things a little better.

And that is something we will always carry with us.
